Staff News: Congrats to Meghan Zero for the Staff Excellence Award

In the midst of gloom and doom, comes something marvelous: our very own Undergraduate Advisor Meghan Zero has won the Staff Citation of Excellence Award this year! Congrats, Meghan!

Meghan has worked diligently to modernize and streamline our Global Studies advising; she's learned at lightning speed how to best advise our students and faculty; and she's shown tireless dedication to our 900 majors, especially though the various crises that have come up this year. Our department nominated Meghan for this award, even as she has just completed her first year. And what a year it has been! We've turned to Meghan more than we would have in an ordinary year; and she has delivered all our concerns and attended to student needs with unflappable grace. We cannot thank her enough.

Unfortunately, this year's Staff Celebration Week is postponed indefinitely; but the campus is still planning to honor the winners in some way. They will announce the winners in the Gaucho Voice email broadcast and on the Staff Assembly website. Meghan will also receive a plaque and a $500 award. We'll find a way to celebrate her in Global Studies when we can return to our beautiful campus!
