Ishleen Kaur (She/Her)
Ishleen Kaur was born and raised in New Delhi, India. She graduated from the University of Delhi with a bachelor's and a master's degree in Political Science. She started working as a development professional to put her theoretical knowledge into practice. She has four years of experience working in India's rural areas with organizations such WSSCC and Goonj to enhance the health and well-being of women, children, and promote rural development through a lens of dignity.
Her career has been mostly focused on research and social development. Her interests encompass inclusive development, social and gender dimensions of public health, sanitation and environment. This has included conducting fieldwork in remote locations, gathering and analyzing primary and secondary quantitative and qualitative data. Recently, she completed the Naropa Fellowship programme in 2020, which concentrated on the sustainable development of the Himalayan region. Additionally, she enjoys traveling and immersing in new and different cultures.
