Matt Kinsella-Walsh (he him)was born and raised in the Upper Midwest, between Wisconsin and Minnesota. He received his BA in Politics from Oberlin College. Matt comes to UCSB after years working as a cook and chef in award-winning restaurant kitchens and mutual-aid focused community kitchens. He plans to study the logistics of American food systems through a transnational lens, with a particular interest in the role of the US-Mexico border.
